ruby-dotenv software package provides configuration variable loader, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ruby-dotenv
ruby-dotenv is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ruby-dotenv package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ruby-dotenv *
You will get with ruby-dotenv package name, version, architecture and description in a table
